Early-bird pick for Euro 2020...

Here's our first bet for Euro 2020 this summer. Ciro Immobile to be Top Goalscorer...

A proper striker...

The 31-year-old Lazio man is what the TV pundits might call a 'proper striker.' The translation being - this guy scores goals. Lots of them. Tap-ins, one-on-ones, deft finishes, left foot, right foot, headers, penalties. Ciro is deadly in the box. An Italian Gary Lineker, if you will...

In 2019/20, Ciro Immobile finished top of the pile in the Italian league with a whopping 35 goals for Lazio, beating the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo to the top scorer title. This season, Ciro didn't quite hit those heights. But he still got a very respectable haul of 20 goals, putting him joint-5th in the final 2020/21 Serie A standings.

Ciro ended the campaign in noteworthy scoring form, with eight goals in his last 13 games in all competitions for club & country. That includes two strikes in two starts when on International duty for Italy in the World Cup 2022 Qualifiers at the end of March.

Back in November 2019, Immobile rounded off the Euro 2020 Qualifying campaign with a brace in his country's 9-1 demolition of Armenia.

Italy failed to qualify for the 2018 World Cup. Immobile is 31 years of age. This is a player that looks a prime candidate to now deliver at a major International tournament.

Group A chances for Ciro...

Turkey v Italy is the opening game of the European Championships, on Friday 11th June. And that match takes place in Italy, at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome. Which just happens to be where Immobile plays his club football for Lazio.

This being the only game that day, and the first of the tournament - Ciro could get an early start in the scorer charts, and if so, his Outright price could go quickly...

Group A is made up of Italy, Turkey, Switzerland, Wales. With all due respect to the opposition, Immobile can be expected to get chances in all three matches. The Italians are odds-on favourites to win Group A.
